Lipolist, a village on Cer slopes, about twenty kilometers far from Šabac, on the road to Loznica, in Mačva Region, at 100 km from Belgrade, is one of the most flower decorated ones in Serbia, since roses have been grown in it for decades. Thus, it is quite natural that it is the venue of the far famous Flower Festival ROSES OF LIPOLIST. This Festival, a tourism/economic event organized by the Tourism Organization of Šabac and the Roses of Lipolist Association, under the auspices of the City of Šabac, is traditionally held in the second half of June, when all parties in the chain of the rose sales and growing gather in Lipolist, as well as all fans of this flower. As declared by Mr. Nemanja Pajić, President of the City of Šabac Assembly, "The Festival has got great economic and tourism potential. The city recognizes it, supports and affirms hard work of the flower growers in Lipolist, growing about a million rose seedlings annually". Mr. Dragojlo Lazić, CEO of the Tourism Organization of Šabac, adds "Since Serbia is the eighth large flower exporter in the world, Lipolist with its roses certainly plays an important role there".

Wishing to feature the roses beauty at their source, as well as the hard work of the rose growers, the hosts in the most aromatic village in Serbia hosted tourism journalists and the employees of the National Tourism Organization of Serbia. Just like tourists when they visit Lipolist, they visited the Nursery Topalović, classified among the leading rose and decoration plant growers in the neighboring countries. Then, they visited the Ethnic Yard of Slobodan Topalović, a self-taught painter, who has been collecting the forgotten parts of the Mačva traditional village for many decades. The Ethnic Village has got the authentic look, with the items saved from forgetting, his relation to the home region and old items, but also his life provided by his painters' artistic family.
