No wonder that a form part of the informal travel offer includes also visits to various witches, whose witchcrafts are believed by those who come for them from various parts of Serbia and the world.

Travel Destinations

The Bor municipality takes the central part of the Eastern Serbia. The town itself, the previous metropole of mining and metallurgy, is not an ideal travel destination, and the accommodation facilities (other than those in Brestovačka Spa) are not at an enviable level, either. However, the surrounding nature, on the other side, is unbeatably beautiful and rich. Forests, pastures and meadows replace each other, hiding the Borsko Lake, the Black Peak, Stol and Dubašnica, the Lazar's River canyon with the Zlot Cave, Vernjikica Cave, the base of Tilva Njagra with thermal mineral wells and the Brestovačka Spa.

  The Lazar's or Zlotska Cave

On the eastern Kučaj slopes, especially near Zlot, the largest Serbian village, a real cave wealth was discovered. The most attractive ones are the Lazar's or Zlotska Cave (3 km away from the Zlot village, 14 km from Brestovačka Spa and 18 km from Bor), the mostly used one in tourism, then the caves Vernjikica, Vodena, Mandina and Hajdučica. The Zlotska Cave, with the entrance closed by a wall by Turks, during their ruling, at the height of 291 meters, in order to prevent hiding of the Haiduks and refugees there, is the most attractive one for the tourists. At the investigated 1,800 meters, the most exciting one is the Entry Hall, as well

as the sections overfull of the cave art, such as the Throne, Block, Concert and Bat Halls.

  Brestovačka spa

In 1833, Duke Miloš Obrenović arrived at Brestovačka Spa, interested in the curative water wells, the characteristics of which were compared by Baron Herder with some waters of Switzerland and Tirol. The Duchess Ljubica Obrenović, Jevrem Obrenović, Duke Miloš's brother and Milutin Petrović, Haiduk Veljko Petrović's brother, became the first tourists in this region.
The Quarters, Duke's Court and other attractive buildings of that time remind of them. The nearby forests, modernized hotel accommodation and thermal mineral water wells, having the temperature of 32 - 40°C, are used for holidays, curing and recreation
  Borsko jezero
The water accumulation for the Borsko Lake began in 1959, after the works on the dam construction on the Brestovačka River had been completed. In the dark green lake water with the upper layer water temperature in the summer reaching 25°C, which enables pleasant bathing, the mountain Tilva Njagra reflects itself. The Borsko Lake is a popular meeting point of the sport fishermen, excursion participants, passing by tourists and swimmers.
