As regarding the international offer at the Belgrade Tourism Fair, the long term experience showed the most popular destinations and the best selling travel packages were summer holidays in Greece, Montenegro, Spain, Italy and, in spite of unstable political situation, also in Turkey. The Partner Country, Slovenia, promoted its thermal springs, many ski resorts, seaside cities and convention tourism capacities, under the slogan "Green. Active. Healthy".

      

Many conferences and presentations were held, as well, Air Serbia announced the new line Belgrade - New York, Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Montenegro held the Forum with the topic "Regional Cooperation Enhancement within Tourism", National Tourism Organization of Serbia promoted daily the campaign "How much do you know Serbia?", Special Hospital Merkur announced the campaign "Treatment in the Paradise", Skal International was presented, many events and festivals were showed. Under the slogan "Taste Serbia" the last Fair day was full of taste and scents of the gastronomic offer of all parts of the country.

Along with the Tourism Fair IFT 2016, the 12th  International Fair of Hotel and Restaurant Equipment HORECA, the 7th Wine Fair Beowine and the 12th Souvenir Fair were organized, as well, having gathered the old craft masters with the products manufactured by the traditional techniques, but adapted to the contemporary needs.

    


The Partner Country of the Tourism Fair 2017 is Montenegro.
 
 

Under the slogan "Where haven't you been yet?", the 38th International Tourism Fair IFT 2016 was held at Belgrade Fair (February 18 - 21, 2016). More than 1,100 exhibitors from 55  countries, among them Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Brazil, Germany, Cyprus, Spain, Tunisia, Romania, Bulgaria, Iran, India, for the first time Namibia and Malaysia, and others, offered the visitors the ideas for the forthcoming summer season, the current 'Spa Weekend' or 'City Break' offers, exotic and luxurious destinations, business and convention events, the Fair prices lower even up to 65%.

In the good atmosphere and in the spirit of travel affirmation, Tourism Organizations, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, mountain resorts, spas, lakes, cities, regions and countries from all continents attracted the prospect tourists who were greatly buying travel packages, using the "First minute" offer. As regarding Serbian tourism, the initiative was useful to install the post office desk where citizens could directly submit their applications for the voucher use for a holiday in Serbia. The country's tourism was supported also by the Prime Minister of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, who said, opening the Fair, "Serbia will invest this year ten million Euros in the Danube, particularly its section from Apatin to Beška and from Smederevo to Kladovo, in order to arrange the complete infrastructure and include it in what we call the regional tourism. There will be also investments in the spas, road communication and infrastructure in the mountain resorts, especially Stara Planina".  "We do not consider tourism the cost, but the best possible investment", said Mr. Rasim Ljajić, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia.

      

    

Tourism Industry of Serbia (Belgrade Fair Hall 4) adapts its potentials and pricing policy successfully to the tourists' needs, searching and offering new destinations, products, features, as well as new technologies and standards in the tourism facility furnishing. The National Tourism Organization of Serbia (NTOS) promoted the complete tourism offer of the country, with special focus on "The Water Wealth of Serbia", "The Danube" and "160th Anniversary of Nikola Tesla Birth", as well as the new brochures "The Rivers and Lakes of Serbia" and '52 Weekends in Serbia'. As declared by Ms. Marija Labović, Acting CEO of the NTOS, "This year, the Fair visitors were greatly asking for the promotional leaflets. This makes us very happy, as it shows we attracted attention of our fellow inhabitants and made them interested in spending a part of their holiday or the whole one in Serbia". Belgrade was promoted as the City Break destination, attractive for investments, conventions, but also as the city of culture, sport, good energy, shopping and entertainment. Western Serbia, as the most popular part of the country, has many presentations. Sjenica gains tourism market fast. Their offers were presented also by the tourism destinations, such as Kopaonik, Zlatibor, Stara Planina, Vrnjačka SpaKanjiža Spa, Junaković, Bukovička, Prolom and Sokobanja, Knjaževac, Zaječar, Novi Sad, Vršac, Subotica, Sombor, Sremski Karlovci and others.
