The 40th International Tourism Fair IFT 2018 (February 22 - 25, 2018, Belgrade) was held under the slogan Your Holiday is Waiting for You. About 1,200 exhibitors from 55 global countries gathered in six exhibiting halls and featured the tourism offer, culture, habits, wines and gastronomic specialties. There were countries from all continents, cities, regions, Tourism Organizations, hotels, mountain and spa resorts, various destinations and attractions, airlines, agencies and tour operators. Beside Serbia, their tourism potentials were presented by Greece - this year's Partner Country, as well as Turkey Egypt, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, India, Germany, Spain, Tunisia, Cyprus, Regions of Russian Federation and others, and for the first time Morocco, South African Republic, Palestine and Cameroun.  
Mr. Rasim Ljajić, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, spoke about the tourism rising line of the Host Country - Serbia, reminding Serbia rebranding was under progress, tourism had double figure rise for years, 95% of foreigners were quite satisfied by their staying in Serbia, the deciding factors were the good relation between the price and quality, safety and easy accessibility of the destination".
  At this year's Tourism Fair, there was an outstanding great interest just for holidays in Serbia, which was visited in 2017 by 1.5 million international tourists (17% more than in the previous year), the number of local tourists was increased for 8% and the foreign currency income from the tourists was 1.1 billion Euros (13% more than in the year before).  Ms. Marija Labović, CEO of the National Tourism Organization of Serbia (NTOS), says "Belgrade Tourism Fair attendance is a special event, since from the total number of tourists, 51% of them are the local ones". Thus, the visitors could see at the NTOS stand the vignettes promoting Serbian tourism at Travel Channel (Nature, Culture, City Break), video spot "Serbia - The place to be", broadcasted at the channel BBC World, the interactive application ,,See Serbia...on a Click from Perfect Holiday", the photo to take away "See Serbia.Find Your Perfect Holiday", mobile application "Audio Guide through Serbia", test themselves in the knowledge quiz "See Serbia. Select Your Favorite Destination", as well as get acquainted with the new brochure "Trekking and Biking". Serbia presentation at the Tourism Fair was completed by Belgrade, which under the slogan GO BELGRADE declared "Belgrade is waiting for you by its open heart", Western Serbia as the most popular part of the country, which featured the promotional program The Magic Ring 2018 and their advantages were presented also by Kopaonik, Zlatibor, Stara Planina, Tara, Vrnjačka Spa, Spas Kanjiža, Junaković, Prolom, Bukovička, Vrdnik and others, Knjaževac, Zaječar, Pirot, Novi Sad, Vršac, Subotica, Palić, Sombor, Sremski Karlovci, Kragujevac, Novi Pazar, National Park Đerdap i Golubac Fortress and other localities and destinations.  

Along with the Tourism Fair, the events International Hotel Management and Catering Equipment Fair HORECA, Wine Fair BeoWine and Souvenir Exhibition were organized, as well.

FIRST MINUTE TRAVELS
The First Minute travel offers included the summer holidays end of May and early June, i.e. end of August and in September, when the travel package prices in Greece and Turkey vary from EUR.39.00 to 250.00. In Montenegro, the private accommodation prices varied from EUR.6.00 to 50.00. With even 50% discount, there were travels to the exotic destinations Maldives and Seychelles. The increasingly demanded are also the travels to Zanzibar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, China, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries.
